Take a trip around the world with over 200 quilt images featuring trends in contemporary quiltmaking. See how quilters in different countries use their own culture as inspiration for unique works of art, and how the minimalism of Modern Quilting has expanded as a design trend. Color trends and techniques will be discussed, in this review of quilt art trends over the last year. We will discuss how the pandemic and the events of 2020 will affect quilting trends, and quilt exhibits in 2021 and 2022.

Luana Rubin is an entrepreneur, and artist from Boulder Colorado. She has worked as a designer in the quilting, textile and garment industries since 1980. Her weekly e-newsletter at eQuilter.com goes out to 120,000 subscribers, and she has spoken at quilt festivals around the world on the topic of International Quilt Trends. She has also spoken at textile trade shows and trend conferences around the world. She is a frequent guest on Quilting Arts TV, and has recently curated an exhibit “For the Love of Gaia” at the International Quilt Museum in Nebraska.

She is a Bernina Ambassador, and a member of the Color Marketing Group, an international color trend forecasting organization. Her business eQuilter.com has raised $1.7 million for non-profits such as Ocean Conservancy, Doctors Without Borders and Engineers Without Borders.
